COMMUNITY RELATIONS INTERN
During my internship with the City of Sterling Heights Community Relations Department, I gained valuable hands-on experience in marketing, graphic design, social media management, and community engagement. I collaborated with multiple city departments to develop creative content, design promotional materials, and support communication initiatives that connected residents with city programs, services, and events. My experience included contributing to large-scale projects such as the Pathway to Play and Preservation Millage and the State of the City, as well as creating content for the Sterling Heights Fire Department, Public Library, and community events. This opportunity strengthened my skills in creative strategy, project management, and cross-departmental collaboration while giving me a deeper appreciation for the role marketing and communications play in bringing a community together.
